Running as part of Platform Arts’ multi-arts season Sympoiesis.

The Honey Fingers Collective exhibition invites you to experience intricate dialogues between human and non-human life forms—including the microbiomes that thrive in beehives, human bodies, and the bread we share—illuminating the interconnectedness of all living beings.

Honey Fingers Collective positions the common honeybee (Apis mellifera) as vital co-creators with humanity. This unique interspecies exhibition showcases sculptural artworks from remarkable collaborations between human-made and bee-made, as well as communal food, ‘bee bread,’ honeycomb activities, fermentation, beekeeping knowledge, and a stunning bee chimney.

Honey Fingers Collective launches this unique project at Platform Arts with a free opening event on Friday, 21 February, 5.30-7.30pm.

The exhibition belongs to a broader program, Sympoiesis, which celebrates “making with” through visual arts, performance, music, and food. Other events include The Cloud Maker (20 FEB) whose powerful music echoes tales of creation and transformation; Slip, (21-22 MAR) a live dance and foley duet by Aviva Endean and Rebecca Jensen; and Thinking with Golden Ecklonia, (12 APR) a free immersive sound walk and multimedia installation by Ocean LAB.
