Djaara Elders arts and cultural talks afternoon
1pm to 3pm, Sunday 6 October 2024
To be held in garingilang gatjin wii at Central Goldfields Art Gallery Everyone, of all ages, is welcome to attend this special afternoon led by Djaara Elders in garingilang gatjin wii. This is the name of the new garden space next to Central Goldfields Art Gallery that are Djaara words for water and fire garden.
Uncle Rick Nelson will provide a Welcome to Country and share cultural talks about Country. Internationally renowned contemporary artist, Aunty Marilyne Nicholls will share and talk about her remarkable weaving practice.
This is a free program and is presented as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival 2024
