Darwin Entertainment Centre presents Darwin Comedy Festival, bringing the Top End alive with unstoppable laughter from Thursday 6 to Saturday 8 March 2025.
Performing in Darwin for the first time, international superstar Celeste Barber brings her new show Backup Dancer to comedy fans. Aboriginal Comedy Allstars promise the freshest and funniest stand-up comedy around. Nazeem Hussain returns to Darwin to get the crowd laughing with his new show You Paid For This. Sammy J returns in a time-bending memoir that bounces through the life of a recovering attention seeker in The Kangaroo Effect. Genre-bending cabaret sensation Reuben Kaye returns to Darwin in an explosion of risqué humour with The Party’s over. Geraldine Hickey delivers smart, observational comedy at its absolute best. And it’s a showdown of wits at Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s annual RAW Comedy competition that spotlights the freshest comedic talent from across the country.
For younger audiences and families, the award-winning circus and comedy show Children Are Stinky will bring high-energy hilarity for all ages, while Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Class Clowns will offer teens the opportunity to step into the spotlight.

Darwin Comedy Festival starts with an opening night celebration. Join us at 5.30pm as we open the inaugural Festival with a special Welcome to Country acknowledging the custodians and country that our Festival takes place on.
