A unique light projection and music event that brings to life the architecture and history of Billilla through the work of nationally renowned artist and composer Mia Salsjö. Salsjö’s new work, titled 26 Halifax Street: coded movements for Billilla (2024-25), is a unique musical score for string and percussion that will be presented alongside a light projection of Salsjo’s working drawings onto Billilla’s majestic exterior.
Salsjö was recently commissioned to translate the architecture of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Federation Square into song in 2023 and 2022, and now she brings her unique vision to Billilla. Join us for this unforgettable one night only premier.
Light projection from 6pm – 8pm with timed performances at 6.30pm, 7pm, and 7.30pm.
