Following a two year period where he presented markedly different bodies of work in ‘Elevated Horizon Response’, ‘Ice Floes Response’, ‘Pressure’, and ‘Pressure Response’ across museums, institutions and commercial galleries, Ash Keating returns to his distinctive Gravity System Response series at Level 1, 524 Flinders St, the same venue he first exhibited the technique 10 years ago.
While these new paintings are charged with deeply personal and tender insights into grief, the passing of time, and their place within the canon of abstract painting, they inevitably radiate positivity for the human experience.
