“A wonderfully uplifting work of inspiration and entertainment” – Blue Curtains, 2022

“A Girl’s Guide to World War” is the home-grown smash hit musical you won’t want to miss. Told with rollicking humour and stirring live music, this is a TRUE story the history books didn’t want you to know about!

“This is the best show I have seen in forever. The story, songs, writing, stagecraft and directing are all incredible and the performances are world-class. It’s truly hard to believe that there is so much talent in our community. Don’t miss this show!” – Audience member

Come meet the Aussie women who defied convention, snuck onto the front line, and became decorated war heroes. Featuring unforgettable Queensland characters, this high energy, uplifting musical played to sell-out crowds on the Sunshine Coast and at Brisbane Powerhouse.

Award-winning!

“A Girl’s Guide to World War” won “Best New Australian Work” (Matilda Awards 2019).

Actress Susie French (Menopause the Musical, Mamma Mia) also took home “Best Supporting Actress”. You’ll love her no-holds-barred performance as the smoking, swearing lesbian surgeon, Dr Lilian Cooper (Queensland’s first female doctor).

Featuring the award-winning all-girl band Vix and the Slick Chix, and written by Sunshine Coast couple Katy Forde and Aleathea Monsour, “A Girl’s Guide to World War” celebrates an untold story of bravery, courage and compassion in the chaos of war.

“Anyone who is thinking of going along MUST because if you don’t, you will regret it! A 10/10 evening.” – Audience member
