CUA50920 Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging

The Diploma at NCAT Photography prepares you for a career as a photographer across a range of industry areas including commercial, domestic portrait, media, wedding, illustrative and fine art photography. This is a face-to-face course with practical, theory and workshop sessions covering digital and black and white and colour analogue processes, making it a unique course. The main aim is to produce a portfolio of work, tailored to suit the student’s chosen pathway and demonstrating a high level of conceptual research, technical competence, and refinement.

ACTIVITIES/TASKS

Students work in studios, darkrooms and on location and visit galleries and photographic workplaces. Students must complete individual work briefs, participate in workshops and demonstrations, group discussions, presentations, excursions, and self-evaluation exercises. Guest speakers feature and maintain our strong connection to a dynamic industry and educational pathway.
