Gloria Demillo (they/them) is a social sciences researcher in sociology and anthropology. They completed their honours research on representation of Filipino women in Australia entitled: The “Mail-Order bride”: Orientalism, intimacy and gendering experience. It was nominated for the Australian Anthropological Society Thesis Prize. They are currently a PhD student at UNSW researching labour migration from the Philippines and migrant representations.
