Why Australian crime writers are killing it

Two upcoming crime fiction festivals threaten to spill the beans (and the blood).

In the next few weeks there will be not one, but two crime festivals to pique terror and provoke armchair detectives: the Terror Australia Readers and Writers Festival (TARWF), and the BAD Sydney Crime Festival. As one of the guest authors, Sarah Bailey says: â€˜Ultimately I think humans are instinctively interested in seeking to understand what motivates people to do terrible things, and what leads them to make certain decisions, and when you can explore this from the comfort of your lounge room, what’s not to love?’
