Georges River Art Prize

Paddington Art Prize
Closes: 15 September
A National acquisitive landscape prize with $30,000 awarded annually for a painting inspired by the Australian landscape. There are 6 acquisitive prizes on offer including the Defiance Gallery Award, which includes an exhibition in Sydney and a residency in New Zealand.
Hornsby Art Prize
Closes: 3 August
Open to artists across Australia, The Hornsby Art Prize is a non-acquisitive art award with a total prize pool of $23,000. The major prize is valued at $10,000. Categories include; Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, 3D works and Digital Art – Stills.
Mosman Art Prize
Closes: 26 August
Back again in 2019, this acquisitive painting prize is one of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious municipal art prize. With over $50,000 in prizes on offer the winning artworks will form part of the Mosman Art Collection, featuring modern and contemporary art.
Lyn McCrea Memorial Drawing Prize
Closes: 11 August
The non-acquisitive national drawing prize presented by Noosa Regional Gallery, celebrates the art of drawing in Australia. Now in its fourth year, the Lyn McCrea Memorial Drawing Prize is open to entries from emerging and established contemporary artists across Australia.
Rick Amor Self Portrait Prize

Kennedy Prize 2019

The Fisher’s Ghost Art Award 2019
Closes: 4 September
This annual art prize invites artists to submit works in a variety of artistic categories and mediums. With a total of $38,000 in prize money to be won. The open section is acquisitive to the Campbelltown City Council collection and is valued at $25,000.
Lloyd Rees Memorial Youth Art Award
Closes: 10 November
The biennial award is a national prize for 18-30 year old emerging artists in the medium of painting, drawing and printmaking. The total prize pool is $7,500 with the main award being an acquisitive prize of $5,000 and a solo exhibition at Gallery Lane Cove.
Tom Malone Prize 2019
Closes: 1 November
AGWA’s Tom Malone Prize is a respected national annual prize for glass works. Each year, this acquisitive prize showcases key trends in glass art across Australia. Entries for the 2020 Tom Malone Prize are now open.
Eutick Memorial Still Life Award
Closes: 27 September
Australia’s only national Still Life Painting Award, EMSLA is celebrating its thirteenth consecutive year with a non-acquisitive First Prize of $20,000. Entries are invited from Australian painters over the age of eighteen.
