For some of us working in the arts sector today, it was our experience at school that inspired and nurtured our love for the arts. Visual arts teachers bridge the history of art and making with aspirations for a career as a professional artist. It is not just about nurturing and directing artistic talent, but today is a job where understanding context, and articulating creative thinking, are key skills.
