A sense of community can be of great benefit to writers, both emerging and established, alleviating some of the isolation that comes with the job, and providing a resource where writers can find constructive feedback and advice.
As long time member of the NSW Writers’ Centre Emily Maguire, said, ‘When you’ve had an awful writing day, received an overwhelming editorial report or a scathing review, knowing others have been through the same thing and lived to write another day really helps.’
