A drag cabaret artist and a comedian with heaps of vagina jokes are not performers you would expect in children's entertainment but there are good reasons to play in both sandpits.

Le Gateau Chocolat

Children’s entertainment seems, at first, an unlikely performance mode for Le Gateau Chocolat, who is best known for his hybrid drag-cabaret and a booming baritone that’s ‘as warm and rich as a perfect summer’s night’.  

But like his autobiographical stage shows, which have dealt with coming out and struggling with depression, Le Gateau has invested a considerable amount of heart into Duckie, his first-ever children’s show which has its world premiere season as part of Perth’s Fringe World this weekend.
