An inside look at art collecting

Art collecting is an art of its own, with a myriad of approaches making it an ultimately satisfying venture for many.

But with the recent gallery closures in Perth, many would-be collectors in the area have been left feeling stumped as to where to begin. This week Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) ​hosted a discussion forum, A Novel Approach to Collecting, for artists and current and aspiring collectors alike to develop ideas, source information and learn what it takes to build a collection of contemporary art.
