Idea too dangerous for festival

Sydney Opera House has cancelled a talk by Muslim writer and activist who claims he is the victim of censorship.

Uthman Badar, a Sydney-based Muslim writer, speaker and activist, was withdrawn yesterday from the forthcoming Festival of Dangerous Ideas program within hours of its program being launched.

The festival is hosted by the Sydney Opera House and has been scheduled for 30-31 August.
