The world premiere of a new production of Coppélia will open the company’s 2014 mainstage season later this month.

Choreographed by Greg Horsman, the ballet is set in the South Australian town of Hahndorf in the late 19th century, where the town’s resident physician, the newly arrived Dr Coppélius, has created a remarkably life-like automaton to replace his late daughter, who died on the voyage to Australia.
