Melbourne Sirius is a print artefact to honour a dying industry, produced by journalist and historian Rachel Buchanan.

The newspaper, named for the late rising star, is a history and homage to the 525 print titles that have been printed in Melbourne since 1838. An alphabetical list of the newspapers, produced like gravestones with birth and death dates, starts with The Abstainer, ‘The Official Organ of the Grand Lodge of Victoria’ and ends with Zundnadeln Blatter fur die heitere und ernste Welt (Paper for the serene and serious world), a German-language paper that only lasted two issues.
