On the eve of its London premiere, Big hART’s Namatjira has been added to the NSW HSC English list.

The powerful production about the life of Aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira has already won a Helpmann Award, an ArtsHub Award and two Sydney Theatre Awards, and will soon open in London, for a short season at the Southbank Centre. Its latest plaudit came literally as Big hART Creative Producer Sophia Marinos was preparing to fly to the UK; the news that Scott Rankin’s powerful script has been added to the NSW HSC English list for five years from 2015.
