As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. So when you’re gearing up for a big interview it’s a good idea to invite a bunch of friends or family over and have them shoot difficult questions at you for a while. It might sound crazy, but the more prepared your answers are, the more confident and capable you will seem on the day.
If no one is willing to help you prepare, you can always practice by yourself by standing in front of a mirror and reciting your best lines. Just make sure you don’t fall into the trap of seeming like you’re reading off a cue card– you’re not here to audition for any role, so be yourself.
