Robyn Arianrhod is a writer and a mathematician: she is an Adjunct Research Fellow at Monash University, with interests in Einstein’s relativity theory; history of science; social responsibility in science; and women, feminism and science. Her first book, Einstein’s Heroes: Imagining the World through the Language of Mathematics, was translated into several languages, and was short-listed for a 2004 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award and The Age Non-Fiction Book of the Year Award. Her second book, Seduced by Logic: Émilie du Châtelet, Mary Somerville and the Newtonian Revolution, was recently long-listed for the 2012 National Biography Award.
