As Pete Keen bounds up Little Lonsdale Street, it’s pretty clear he’s a man with energy to burn. The wiry young entrepreneur and creative director, equal parts bohemian artist, is brimming with enthusiasm for his upcoming festival-child Sugar Mountain, blasting Melbourne with a bunch of creative talent for the second time in January.

Most likely the most eclectic and out-there festival lineup you’ll see all year, Keen has gathered some of his favourite artists and musicians: Deerhoof, Tune-Yards and World’s End Press with Vincent Moon, Maya Hayuk and Kyle Ranson to name a few, for a one-day visual and aural revelation and with a series of satellite events.
