There has been a boom in the makers sector with pandemic. Not only via online shopping channels but in a desire to get ‘hands in clay’, for example, with to-door maker’s kits just one of many craft-based pursuits.
While craft feels immediate right now, its legacy is long. Testament to that is Sturt – Australia’s oldest design centre, which celebrates its 80th anniversary on 3 October.
