A new program designed to increase the number of independent producers and help independent artists and small companies get the most from the artist/producer relationship has been launched in Victoria.
Independent producers work with artists and creatives to develop new work, attract partners and sponsors, manage tours and promotional activities, and identify business opportunities. Currently, there are not enough independent producers working in Victoria to meet the demand from independent artists and small companies, especially in regional Victoria and the Indigenous arts sector.
