Free the arts protest outside Turnbull’s office today

A snap action to demand Brandis is stripped of the Arts portfolio and the NPEA repealed will be held outside the Prime Minister’s electorate office at 2pm.

Sydney artists will gather outside the Wentworth electorate office of new Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull at 2pm today to protest the National Program for Excellence in the Arts (NPEA).

As reported by ArtsHub yesterday, arts organisations are campaigning for Senator George Brandis to be stripped of his Arts portfolio, and for the NPEA funds to be returned to the Australia Council for the Arts.
