Queensland arts sector enters election mode

With an election looming, the state’s arts advocates are campaigning for increased investment in the cultural sector and greater emphasis on First Nations, regional and youth arts.

The Queensland Chamber of Arts and Culture has highlighted systemic low investment in arts and culture in their state in the lead-up to the upcoming election on Saturday 25 November.

The Chamber has called on all political parties to increase Queensland’s low levels of arts funding, while also addressing a number of other priorities, including First Nations arts and artists.
