Funding cuts force KAGE to close

Melbourne-based contemporary dance company KAGE has announced their impending closure, after the presentation of a final work in Scandinavia next year.

The loss of state and federal funding has forced the closure of contemporary dance company KAGE.

The company’s final work, Caught in the Middle, will premiere in Scandinavia in March 2018. An international co-production, it merges dance traditions from Sámi and Australian Aboriginal cultures with contemporary forms.
