Funding cut threatens theatre company’s future

Succession planning in light of the Artistic Director's impending retirement, and the company's 2018 season, are now imperilled.

The Tasmanian Theatre Company’s annual funding for 2018 – delivered through Arts Tasmania’s Organisations Investment Program – has been cut by almost $23,000 from $125,000 to $102,785.

As well as threatening the company’s 2018 season, the reduction in funding also endangers the company’s long term future – including its succession planning.
