No northern lights for Dark Mofo

The winter festival’s plans for a Launceston program have been cancelled due to the lack of a sustainable business model.

Dark Mofo, the winter counterpart of the Museum of Old and New Art’s (MONA) Festival of Music and Art (FOMA), today cancelled plans for a Launceston leg of its program.

The festival’s scheduled expansion into Launceston, intended to run from 20 June to 5 July, has been abandoned due to the organisers’ inability to ‘develop a sustainable business model at this time’, according to a statement released today.
