Monash to host million-dollar music theatre residency

Once 'teeth, tits and tap', musicals are now being recognised and embraced in universities, as a new initiative demonstrates.

Philanthropist Jeanne Pratt’s latest donation to Monash University is a $1 million gift to the University’s Centre for Theatre and Performance. It establishes the Jeanne Pratt Musical Theatre Artists in Residence Program, designed to provide mid-career and experienced musical theatre practitioners with the time to develop their own projects, while also enabling drama and music students at Monash to work with and learn from them.
